Replace It with Truth
Reflection
What truth from God’s Word needs to replace the lie you’ve been hearing?
Today’s Scripture
Ephesians 4:22-24
"...to put off your old self... to be made new in the attitude of your minds; and to put on the new self."
Devotional
It is not enough to remove a lie. You have to replace it with truth.
If fear says, “What if this doesn’t work?” truth says, “God works all things together for the good of those who love Him.” If lack says, “You don’t have enough,” truth says, “My God shall supply all my needs according to His riches in glory.” If sickness tries to dominate your thoughts, truth points you back to the healing promises of God.
Ephesians gives us a clear pattern. Put off the old self. Be renewed in the attitude of your mind. Put on the new self. That means renewal is not just subtraction. It is replacement.
This is where many people get stuck. They recognize the wrong thought. They even reject it. But then they leave the space empty. A mind needs something to meditate on. If you don’t fill that space with the Word, the old thought will often come back and try to settle in again.
God’s Word is not just information. It is seed. When you plant it, speak it, meditate on it, and elevate it above every other thought, it begins producing fruit in your life.
The lie may be loud, but truth is stronger. Choose what gets planted.
