Where have you been staring at the natural picture instead of asking God for the full picture?

Elisha’s servant wasn’t wrong about what he saw. The army was real. The threat was real. The pressure was real. But what he saw was incomplete, and that incomplete picture produced fear.

That happens to us too. We can stare at a report, a bank account, a family situation, a delay, or a diagnosis and think we’re seeing everything. But the natural picture is never the full picture when God is involved. Faith doesn’t pretend the problem isn’t there. Faith asks God to open our eyes to what else is true.

Elisha saw what his servant couldn’t see yet. He saw that those who were with them were more than those who were against them. The mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire. God’s help was already present before the servant could recognize it. Fear had one picture, but God had already supplied another.

You may need that same prayer today: Lord, open my eyes. Help me see Your provision around this need. Help me see Your strength around this weakness. Help me see Your protection around this battle. Help me see that I’m not surrounded by the problem alone. I’m surrounded by Your faithfulness.

Don’t stop at what fear shows you. You don’t have to panic. Let God complete the picture, and let that fuller picture bring courage back to your heart.
