Trust the Season
Reflection
What season do you need to stop resisting and start trusting God in?
Today’s Scripture
Ecclesiastes 3:1
"To everything there is a season, a time for every purpose under heaven."
Devotional
Everything has a season. That truth can be comforting, but it can also be challenging when the season you are in is not the one you would have chosen.
Some seasons feel productive. Others feel hidden. Some feel joyful. Others require patience, endurance, and trust. But Ecclesiastes reminds us that there is a time for every purpose under heaven. God knows how to work in seasons that feel slow, quiet, or uncertain.
The danger is despising a season because it does not look like purpose. We can become so focused on what comes next that we fail to receive what God is building now. But the season you are in may be teaching you something you will need later.
Motherhood, work, waiting, serving, learning, healing, rebuilding, and even starting over can all become places of preparation. God uses seasons to form maturity, deepen faith, and strengthen trust. He is not only interested in getting you somewhere. He is also interested in who you become along the way.
If this season feels slower than you expected, ask God for patience. If it feels hidden, ask Him for faithfulness. If it feels difficult, ask Him for strength. His hand is still on you.
You are here for a reason. Trust the season you are in.
Application
Instead of rushing ahead, ask God how to be faithful in this season today.
Prayer
Father, help me trust Your timing and receive what You are forming in me right now.
