What situation may require you to rise with courage when the moment comes?

Esther 4:14
"Yet who knows whether you have come to the kingdom for such a time as this?"

Devotional

Esther was positioned before she fully understood the assignment. She had favor with the king and received a crown, but the palace itself was not the purpose. The palace was the position. The assignment was to help save her people.

That is an important distinction. Sometimes favor places you somewhere before you know why you are there. You may walk through a door, enter a relationship, take a job, join a team, move to a place, or step into a role without fully understanding what God is doing. Then, later, a moment comes when the purpose becomes clearer.

Esther could have looked at her position as personal comfort. But Mordecai helped her see that she was there for more than herself. Her place carried responsibility. Her favor was connected to purpose.

God still works that way. He can place you in environments, families, workplaces, ministries, and communities where your presence matters. You may not know the full assignment yet, but faithfulness now prepares you for courage later.

Do not assume your influence is accidental. Do not minimize the doors God has opened. Do not overlook the people around you. The place you are in may become the very place where God asks you to speak, serve, stand, pray, or act with courage.

You may be positioned before you understand why.

Application

Ask God to give you courage for the assignment connected to your current position.

Prayer

Father, help me recognize the purpose in the place You have positioned me.
