Reflection

What area of your life feels stuck between promise and fulfillment?

Today’s Scripture

Romans 8:28
"All things work together for good to those who love God."

Devotional

There’s a space every believer eventually encounters. It’s the space between hearing God’s promise and seeing it fully manifest in real life. That space can feel confusing, exhausting, and deeply emotional at times.

You pray for healing while symptoms remain. You believe for restoration while relationships still feel strained. You trust God financially while the bills continue stacking up. And in those moments, it’s tempting to assume God has forgotten you.

But the waiting space is not wasted space.

In her teaching, Pastor Kelli describes faith as a journey of reconciliation between God’s promises and present reality. That’s such a powerful picture because faith often develops in the gap. It’s where trust deepens. It’s where perseverance grows. It’s where your confidence in God becomes stronger than your dependence on visible evidence.

Romans 8 reminds us that God is still working even when we can’t fully see the outcome yet. Not everything feels good in the moment, but God is able to work through every season, every delay, and every battle.

Your current reality may not fully match the promise today, but that doesn’t mean the promise failed. God is still moving in places you cannot yet see.

Application

Refuse to let discouragement convince you that God has stopped working.

Prayer

Father, strengthen my faith while I walk through the gap between promise and fulfillment.
