Reflection

What have your words been agreeing with lately?

Today’s Scripture

Mark 11:23
"Whoever says to this mountain... and does not doubt in his heart... he will have whatever he says."

Devotional

Faith was never meant to stay silent. Jesus taught that believing and speaking work together. That’s why your words matter more than you realize.

A lot of people think faith is simply believing privately in their heart, but Scripture shows us that faith eventually speaks. In her teaching, Pastor Kelli said, "Faith doesn’t speak what it sees. Faith speaks what it believes." That’s such an important distinction because most people naturally talk about their fears, frustrations, disappointments, and problems all day long.

Your words either strengthen faith or strengthen fear.

That doesn’t mean you deny reality or pretend life is perfect. Jehoshaphat still saw the armies surrounding him. David still waited years to become king. Pastor Kelli also shared the story of standing on healing scriptures for her daughter for years before seeing complete breakthrough. Faith acknowledges reality, but it refuses to let reality become the final authority.

Instead, faith agrees with God’s promise even while circumstances are still catching up. That’s why speaking Scripture matters. Your words frame the atmosphere around your life. They influence your thinking, your emotions, and your expectations.

Sometimes breakthrough begins with changing what comes out of your mouth before anything changes around you.
