You're Living From Sonship
Reflection
Do you approach God like a child who belongs or like someone who has to earn a place?
Today's Scripture
Romans 8:15
"The Spirit you received does not make you slaves, so that you live in fear again; rather, the Spirit you received brought about your adoption to sonship."
Devotional
A slave thinks in terms of survival. A son thinks in terms of belonging. That difference changes everything.
When you belong in the Father's house, you don't have to beg for what He has already provided. You don't have to wonder if you're allowed to come near. You don't have to prove your value every day before receiving His love. You live from relationship, not performance.
Romans says we haven't received a spirit that makes us slaves again to fear. We have received the Spirit of adoption. That means you are not standing outside the house hoping God notices you. You are a child in the Father's house.
Children understand access. A hungry son doesn't stand at the kitchen door wondering if food is allowed. He knows he belongs there. He knows the provision of the house is for him. In the same way, God's promises are not distant rewards for perfect performance. They are part of your inheritance in Christ.
This doesn't produce entitlement. It produces confidence. You stop striving to earn what Jesus already provided. You begin reading Scripture differently. Healing becomes something your Father provides. Peace becomes something your Father gives. Wisdom, strength, and provision become part of the life you are invited to receive.
You are not a slave trying to survive. You are a child learning to live from sonship.
Application

Prayer
