The Mind You Carry
Reflection
Do you think more from fear or from the mind of Christ?
Today’s Scripture
1 Corinthians 2:16
"But we have the mind of Christ."
Devotional
The Bible does not say you are trying to earn the mind of Christ. It says you have the mind of Christ. That truth changes how you approach your thoughts. You are not trapped with the same old patterns forever. You have been given access to a new way of thinking.
Jesus did not think small. He did not look at storms, lack, sickness, or impossible situations and ask whether the Father had enough power. He lived in agreement with God. He thought from confidence, relationship, and authority. That is the pattern we are invited to follow.
When fear rises, you can stop and ask, “How would Jesus think about this?” Not as a religious slogan, but as a practical way of redirecting your mind. Would Jesus rehearse the worst-case scenario? Would He agree with hopelessness? Would He speak defeat over the situation? No. He would look to the Father, agree with truth, and respond with faith.
The Holy Spirit will always lead you back to the Word. He does not lead you into panic or confusion. He helps you identify the thoughts that are producing heaviness and brings you back to the promises of God.
You carry the mind of Christ. That means your thoughts can be trained to follow faith instead of fear.
Application
When fear rises today, ask, “How would Jesus think about this?”
Prayer
Lord, help me recognize the mind of Christ within me and choose thoughts that agree with Your truth.
