What would change if you truly believed you live under the Lord’s favor?

Today's Scripture

Luke 4:18–19
“The Spirit of the Lord is on me... to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor.”

Devotional

When Jesus opened the scroll in the synagogue, He could have chosen many different things to announce. Peace. Faith. Hope. Breakthrough. Instead He chose this message. The year of the Lord's favor.

That moment was not random. Jesus was declaring that a new era had begun. The old system was about striving, distance, and performance. The new system is about presence, closeness, and grace. Jesus did not just bring forgiveness. He brought you into a permanent position with God.

The word year here does not simply mean a calendar year. It points to a new era of covenant living. If you are in Christ, you now live in the era of God's favor. Jesus was not announcing occasional favor. He was announcing covenant favor.

Application

Speak this over yourself today: “I live in the era of the Lord’s favor. I receive it.”

Prayer

Jesus, thank You for the new covenant. Help me live with confidence that Your favor is on me and with me.
