“Am I now trying to win the approval of human beings, or of God?… If I were still trying to please people, I would not be a servant of Christ.”

Devotional

Our world is obsessed with approval. It is everywhere. Likes, follows, comments, applause. The problem with the world's favor is that it is fragile. You can be on the highest high one day, and the next it feels like you are on the lowest low. But God's favor is not like that.

God's favor is not based on popularity, performance, or perfection. His favor is His presence. If you are in Christ, His presence is with you. That means you do not pop in and out of favor. You do not wake up trying to earn it. You wake up already in it.

When the enemy tries to use pressure, rejection, or fear to oppress you, you do not fight with feelings. You fight with the Word. When you speak Jesus, it is like a sword coming out of your mouth that strikes down what tries to overcome you. The world's favor can change overnight, but God's favor does not change at all.
