Devotional

The Israelites experienced an incredible miracle when they crossed the Red Sea. In one moment they were delivered from slavery. But although they were physically free, their thinking still reflected a slave mentality. Egypt was no longer around them, but Egypt was still in their minds.

The same thing can happen in our spiritual lives. You may be saved, forgiven, and filled with the Spirit — but old thought patterns can still try to define how you see yourself and your future.

God wants to renew your thinking so you can live fully in the freedom He has given you. Transformation happens when your thoughts begin to match the truth of who you are in Christ.

Application

Write down one old belief about yourself that doesn’t align with God’s Word and replace it with a truth from Scripture.

Prayer

Father, help me let go of old ways of thinking. Teach me to see myself the way You see me.
