What kind of seed are you allowing into your heart?

Luke 8:11
"The seed is the word of God."

Devotional

God designed His Word to function like a seed. It carries life within it. When it is planted in your heart and nurtured, it begins to grow and produce fruit. But not every seed produces the same result. Some seeds are pure, and some are corrupt.

You are constantly being handed seeds through conversations, reports, media, and circumstances. A negative report, a diagnosis, or a fearful thought can act like a seed if you allow it to take root. If you rehearse it, focus on it, and give it attention, it begins to grow.

But you have a choice. You can reject the wrong seed and choose the incorruptible seed of the Word of God. When you plant that seed and continue to water it through hearing and speaking, it begins to produce life instead of fear.

Application

Choose one promise today and plant it in your heart through repetition.

Prayer

Father, help me guard what I receive and choose Your Word as the seed I plant in my life.
