Do you realize what you carry when you pray?

Today's Scripture

John 14:13
"Whatever you ask in my name, that I will do."

Devotional

A lot of people pray but still feel unsure if their prayers are doing anything. That uncertainty usually comes from not fully understanding what they carry. Jesus gave us His name, and that name is not symbolic. It carries authority, victory, and power. When you pray in the name of Jesus, you are not asking from your own ability. You are standing on everything He has already accomplished.

That changes how you approach prayer. You are no longer hoping something might happen. You are speaking from a place of victory. His name carries the finished work of the cross. His name carries healing, peace, provision, and authority over every situation you face.

When you begin to truly believe that, your prayers become different. You stop shrinking back and start speaking with confidence. You understand that heaven responds to the name of Jesus. That means your prayer life does not have to be weak or uncertain. It can be powerful and effective because of who you are connected to.

Application

Speak the name of Jesus over one situation today and believe it carries power.

Prayer

Father, help me understand the authority I carry in the name of Jesus and give me boldness when I pray.
