Reflection

Do you realize the authority God has already given you?

Today’s Scripture

Acts 3:6
"In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk."

Devotional

Peter understood something that many believers struggle to grasp. He knew what he carried.

When he encountered the crippled man at the temple gate, he didn’t panic or feel powerless. He didn’t wonder whether God might help someday. He immediately responded with authority because he understood the power connected to the name of Jesus.

That moment wasn’t about Peter being special. It was about Peter recognizing what Jesus had already entrusted to him.

A lot of believers spend their lives waiting for confidence to magically appear, but confidence grows when you begin acting on what God already said. Jesus told His followers they would do the works He did and even greater works. That means you’re not powerless in this world. You carry His Spirit, His authority, and His name.

Sometimes we underestimate what God has already placed inside of us. We pray weak prayers because we see ourselves as weak people. But Scripture says heaven backs the name of Jesus. That authority hasn’t disappeared.

You don’t have to wait until you feel powerful to pray boldly. You simply need to recognize what you already carry through Christ.

Application

Approach prayer today like someone who actually carries authority in Christ.

Prayer

Lord, help me walk confidently in the authority You’ve already given me.
