Build Your Prayer Foundation
Reflection
What are you consistently putting into your heart and mind?
Today’s Scripture
John 15:7
"If you abide in Me and My words abide in you..."
Devotional
Jesus connected powerful prayer to something very practical. He said if His words abide in you, your prayers become effective. That means prayer isn’t separated from what you’re feeding your heart every day.
A lot of people want strong faith while constantly filling their minds with fear, negativity, and distraction. But faith isn’t built by consuming more noise. It’s built by consistently staying connected to God’s Word.
That’s why Scripture tells us to keep the Word before our eyes and in our hearts. When you’re walking through a difficult season, you can’t afford to let fear become louder than truth. You have to intentionally surround yourself with what God says.
Sometimes that means putting scriptures where you’ll constantly see them. Sometimes it means shutting off voices that keep feeding doubt. And sometimes it means building new habits that strengthen your spirit instead of draining it.
Whatever fills your heart eventually shapes your prayers. If fear dominates your thinking, fear will dominate your prayers. But when God’s Word becomes your foundation, confidence begins rising inside of you.
Strong prayers come from a strong foundation.
