Your One Day Is Coming
Reflection
What promise have you been tempted to give up on?
Today’s Scripture
Hebrews 11:1
"Faith is the substance of things hoped for."
Devotional
Simeon and Anna spent years waiting for the promise of God to appear. Day after day they kept believing, praying, expecting, and trusting even before they physically saw anything happen. Then one day, everything changed.
That phrase matters. One day.
Sometimes people grow discouraged because breakthrough takes longer than expected. Healing takes time. Prayers seem unanswered. Waiting stretches faith in uncomfortable ways. But Scripture reminds us that faith is substance even before the promise becomes visible. Faith carries assurance before circumstances fully change.
In this week’s podcast, Pastor Kelli describes faith like holding the title deed to a house. Even if you haven’t walked through the front door yet, ownership already exists because you carry proof. That’s how biblical faith works. God’s promise belongs to you before you physically see the result.
Simeon carried that kind of faith. Anna carried that kind of faith. They continued expecting until the day they saw God fulfill His promise with their own eyes.
Your waiting season is not proof God forgot you. Sometimes faith grows strongest in the waiting. Keep praying. Keep expecting. Keep believing God is still working even when you can’t fully see it yet.
Your one day is coming too.
Application
Refuse to give up on the promise God placed in your heart.
Prayer
Father, strengthen my faith while I wait and help me trust that Your promises will come to pass.
