Keep Hearing the Word
Reflection
Are you treating God’s Word like a daily necessity or an occasional encouragement?
Today’s Scripture
Proverbs 4:20-22
"Keep them in the midst of your heart... for they are life."
Devotional
The Bible says faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God. Not hearing once. Hearing continually.
That’s important because even strong believers face battles. The enemy still attacks. Difficult seasons still happen. Fear still tries to creep in. That’s why staying full of God’s Word matters so much. Spiritual strength isn’t built from one emotional moment. It’s built through continual feeding.
Pastor Kelli compares Scripture to medicine prescribed by a doctor. If a doctor tells you to take medicine three times a day, you wouldn’t ignore the instructions and expect results. In the same way, God’s Word becomes daily nourishment for your faith. You keep it before your eyes. You speak it. You meditate on it. You return to it again and again.
The people who stay strong during storms usually aren’t the people with perfect lives. They’re the people who consistently stay rooted in truth. They keep hearing the Word until it grows bigger than the fear surrounding them.
The enemy isn’t intimidated by shallow faith that disappears under pressure. But strong faith grows steadily over time through continual exposure to God’s promises. That’s the kind of faith that eventually produces victory.
