Reflection

What kind of seed have you been allowing into your heart lately?

Today’s Scripture

Luke 8:15
"The seed on good soil stands for those with a noble and good heart."

Devotional

Jesus compared the Word of God to seed and our hearts to soil. That means whatever gets planted deeply inside us eventually grows into something. The question is whether we’re planting truth or feeding fear.

This week’s podcast uses the story of grass seed mixed with weeds to show why what we plant matters. Everything looked fine at first, but over time, the wrong seed produced the wrong harvest. That’s exactly how life works spiritually too. Cheap seed eventually produces unhealthy fruit.

Every day, different “seeds” try to enter your heart. Fearful news. Negative reports. Discouragement. Anxiety. Doubt. Offense. Worry. If you constantly meditate on those things, they begin to take root in your thinking. But God’s Word is incorruptible seed. It carries life, peace, healing, strength, and breakthrough.

That’s why Jesus talked about protecting the soil of your heart. Some people hear truth but let distraction choke it out. Others lose heart when difficulties come. But good soil keeps watering the Word until it produces fruit.

You can’t stop life from throwing difficult reports your way, but you can decide which report gets planted deepest inside you. God’s promises still carry power when they’re planted, watered, and protected.

Application

Choose one scripture today and intentionally “water” it by repeating it throughout the day.

Prayer

Lord, help me plant Your truth deeply in my heart so it produces good fruit in my life.
