What’s shaping your thoughts and faith the most right now?

Today’s Scripture

Romans 10:17
"Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God."

Devotional

What you consistently feed your mind eventually shapes your faith. That’s true spiritually, emotionally, and mentally. If fear, negativity, and endless bad news constantly fill your thoughts, it becomes difficult to stay peaceful and confident in God.

Pastor Kelli shares a funny story about one of her children putting things in his nose and mouth that didn’t belong there. But honestly, a lot of adults do the same thing spiritually. We allow unhealthy things into our hearts, then wonder why we feel anxious, exhausted, fearful, or overwhelmed all the time.

Faith doesn’t grow automatically. Scripture says faith comes by hearing the Word of God. That means your spirit needs continual truth, encouragement, and biblical perspective. Entertainment has its place, but entertainment can’t build your faith. Only God’s Word can strengthen you when life gets difficult.

You can usually tell what’s been feeding your heart by what comes out during pressure. If panic comes out first, fear has probably been planted too deeply. But if peace, trust, and hope rise up during difficulty, God’s Word is taking root.

This doesn’t mean you ignore reality or never enjoy life. It simply means you become intentional about protecting what fills your heart. Strong faith grows where God’s Word is planted consistently.
