Devotional

Jesus gave believers something powerful when He gave us His name. Scripture says that whatever we ask in His name, He will do it. That means we don’t walk through life powerless or abandoned. We carry the authority of Jesus into every situation we face.

Sometimes the world feels loud, chaotic, and overwhelming. Anxiety rises quickly. Fear creeps in. Situations spiral out of control before we even know what happened. But the name of Jesus still carries authority over every storm, every fearful thought, and every impossible situation. Heaven responds to His name.

That’s why Jesus connected powerful prayer to abiding in Him. He said if His words abide in us, then our prayers become effective. Why? Because His Word builds confidence inside us. The more grounded you become in Scripture, the steadier your faith becomes during difficult moments.

The Holy Spirit draws from what’s already planted inside you. If your heart is filled with fear, panic usually follows. But when your heart is filled with God’s promises, faith rises instead. That’s why staying connected to the Word matters so much. It’s not about religion. It’s about building a foundation strong enough to stand when life gets hard.

You carry the name of Jesus into every room, every challenge, and every battle.

Application

Speak the name of Jesus over one stressful situation today instead of feeding fear.

Prayer

Lord, help me remember the authority and peace I carry through Your name.
