Reflection

Can you believe God before you see evidence?

Today’s Scripture

Hebrews 11:1
"Faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen."

Devotional

Faith isn’t pretending something exists when it doesn’t. Faith is seeing what God has promised before it becomes visible in the natural.

Hebrews 11 says faith is the evidence before the evidence arrives. That means faith gives you an inner picture first. It allows you to believe God is working even when your circumstances haven’t changed yet.

Most people want proof before they trust God. But faith works the opposite way. Faith sees first. It believes first. It holds onto God’s promise before there’s physical confirmation.

That’s why your inner picture matters so much. If all you can see is failure, fear, or impossibility, it becomes difficult to stay hopeful. But when you begin picturing what God has spoken, your faith starts growing stronger than your circumstances.

Elisha’s servant only saw the enemy army surrounding them. But Elisha prayed for his eyes to be opened so he could see the full picture. Suddenly he realized heaven’s protection was already there.

Sometimes you don’t need a different situation. You need a fuller picture of what God is already doing around you.

Faith sees beyond the natural. It sees God’s promise before the breakthrough fully develops.

Application

Ask God today to help you see your situation from His perspective.

Prayer

Father, open my eyes to see beyond fear and trust what You’ve promised.
