Free People Think Free
Reflection
Are there places where you are delivered but still thinking like you are bound?
Today's Scripture
Psalm 105:37
"He brought Israel out with silver and gold, and from among their tribes no one faltered."
Devotional
God brought Israel out of Egypt with strength, provision, and healing. After generations of slavery, they did not leave empty, weak, or abandoned. Scripture says He brought them out with silver and gold, and there was not one feeble person among them.
Their bodies were free, but their thinking still had to change.
That is an important lesson for us. A person can be delivered and still think like the thing they were delivered from owns them. They can love God, be saved, and belong to Him, yet still think from survival, fear, and limitation.
God had already broken the chains off Israel, but their thoughts kept returning to Egypt. Under pressure, they forgot His power. They limited what they could receive because their thinking never rose to the level of His promise.
Through Jesus, you have not received a spirit of slavery again to fear. You have received adoption. You are a child of God. That means you do not have to live governed by survival thinking. You can think like someone who belongs to the Father.
A son or daughter thinks differently. “My Father will provide. I have access. I can come boldly. I belong here. God is faithful.”
Freedom is not only something God does around you. It is something He teaches you to walk in within your own mind.
Application
