What would change if you remembered that your life is hidden with Christ?

Today's Scripture

Colossians 3:2-3
"Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God."

Devotional

When life feels uncertain, your mind needs a secure place to stand. Colossians gives us that place. It says to set your mind on things above, not on earthly things, because your life is hidden with Christ in God.

That does not mean earthly things do not matter. It means they are not your foundation. Circumstances may shift. Reports may change. Emotions may rise and fall. But your life is held in Christ.

There is great peace in remembering where you are seated and who holds you. You are not exposed, forgotten, or left to figure everything out alone. You are secure in Him. You are joined to Him. You are loved by Him. Nothing can separate you from the love of God in Christ Jesus.

A mind set only on earthly things is easily shaken because earthly things are constantly changing. But a mind set on Christ learns to live from a deeper reality. It learns to say, “This is what I see, but this is what God says. This is what I feel, but this is where I am hidden.”

Peace begins when your mind stops living as though the natural realm has the final word.

You are not held by the storm. You are hidden with Christ.

Application

When fear rises today, say aloud, “My life is hidden with Christ in God.”

Prayer

Lord, help me set my mind on things above and rest in the security I have in You.
