Devotional

Sometimes we approach God like the answer is still up in the air. We ask, wait, wonder, and hope maybe He’ll decide to help us. But Scripture shows a different picture. In Christ, God hasn’t withheld what you need for life, peace, healing, wisdom, or strength. He’s already provided through Jesus. That doesn’t mean every promise has shown up in full in your natural circumstances yet. It means the provision is not in question. The yes has already been given.

A lot of frustration comes from praying as if we’re trying to convince God to be good. We keep reaching for what He has already placed on the table. Faith starts to grow when you stop treating God like He’s reluctant. He’s not distant, hesitant, or hard to persuade. He gave His Son. He gave His Word. He gave His Spirit. Those are not the actions of a God who’s holding back. They’re the actions of a Father who has already made the way.

That’s why faith doesn’t have to beg. Faith receives. It opens its hands and says, “If You said it in Your Word, then I believe it belongs to me.” When you start from that place, your prayers change. Your words change. Your expectation changes. You stop living like you’re trying to unlock heaven and start living like Jesus already opened the door. What God promised may still be unfolding in front of you, but in Christ, the answer has already begun.

Application

Today, thank God for one promise you’ve been begging for and start receiving it as something already provided in Christ.

Prayer

Father, help me stop striving for what You’ve already provided in Christ. Teach me to receive Your promises with faith, rest, and confidence in Your goodness. In Jesus’ name, amen.
