Reflection

What situation in your life currently feels like a fire?

Today’s Scripture

Daniel 3:17
"The God we serve is able to deliver us from it."

Devotional

Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego stood in front of a blazing furnace with complete confidence that God was still with them. Today we learned that fullness makes you fireproof.

That doesn’t mean believers never face pressure, opposition, or painful circumstances. It means those things don’t have the final authority over your life.

The three Hebrew men refused to bow before Nebuchadnezzar’s golden image even when they were threatened with death. Their faith wasn’t based on comfort. It was based on confidence in God’s presence. They believed He was able to rescue them, but even if He didn’t move the way they expected, they still refused to compromise.

That kind of faith only develops when someone is spiritually full.

Pastor Kelli shared that people often ask, “How are you staying peaceful? How are you not overwhelmed?” The answer isn’t denial. The answer is fullness. When you’ve spent time with God, filled your mind with Scripture, and strengthened your spirit through faith, hard situations don’t hit the same way.

The fire may still exist around you, but God’s presence changes what the fire can do to you.

The Bible says those men walked out of the furnace without even smelling like smoke. God didn’t just preserve them. He protected them completely.

Application

Remind yourself today that God’s presence is greater than the pressure around you.

Prayer

Father, strengthen my faith and help me trust You even in difficult seasons.
