Reflection

What fear keeps trying to take up space in your mind?

Today’s Scripture

2 Timothy 1:7
"For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind."

Devotional

Fear usually grows in empty places. That’s why staying spiritually full matters so much.

Fullness and fear can’t comfortably live together. Fear may try to show up, but when someone is full of God’s Word and confident in His promises, fear loses its ability to take root deeply.

If your car is full of gas, you don’t spend the whole drive worrying whether you’ll make it to work. You already know there’s enough supply to get you there. Spiritually, confidence works the same way. When you know God is with you and His promises are true, fear loses much of its control over your thinking.

That’s why feeding your faith consistently matters. People often wait until a crisis hits before opening their Bible or praying seriously. But fullness is developed daily, not just during emergencies.

Difficult circumstances don’t automatically equal a difficult life. God’s presence changes how we walk through hardship. Peace becomes possible even while challenges remain unresolved.

Fear wants to dominate your imagination, your thoughts, and your emotions. But the fuller you become of God’s truth, the harder it is for fear to control your life.

Application

Replace one fearful thought today with a promise from Scripture.

Prayer

Father, help me stay full of faith so fear no longer controls my thinking.
