Favor In Every Season
Reflection
What if the season you're in right now is preparing you for what God has ahead?
Today's Scripture
Psalm 23:6
"Surely goodness and mercy will follow me all the days of my life."
Devotional
David wrote that goodness and mercy would follow him all the days of his life. That's a powerful statement, especially coming from someone who experienced both victories and very difficult seasons. David understood that God's goodness didn't disappear when life got hard.
Sometimes the places that feel like setbacks are actually preparation. Joseph experienced this when he was thrown into a pit and later placed in prison. Those moments didn't cancel God's favor. They positioned him for the purpose God had planned for his life.
The same truth applies to us. A difficult season doesn't mean God has forgotten you. It may mean He's preparing you for what's ahead. God's favor continues to work even when you can't yet see the outcome.
Application
Today remind yourself that God's goodness and favor are still working in your life.
Prayer
Father, thank You that Your goodness follows me in every season. Help me trust Your plan for my life.
