Favor in the Fire
Reflection
Have you ever assumed that a hard season meant God's favor was no longer on your life?
Today's Scripture
Isaiah 43:2
"When you pass through the waters, I will be with you... when you walk through the fire, you will not be burned."
Devotional
Many believers quietly carry the idea that favor means life should be easy. If things are going smoothly, we assume God is with us. If life becomes difficult, we start wondering where God went. But that equation isn't true. Favor doesn't mean the absence of difficulty. Favor means the presence of God in the middle of it.
Scripture reminds us that God never promised a life without fires or trials. What He promised was His presence. He said He would never leave you or forsake you. That means when you are walking through something challenging, you are not trying to get God to show up. He is already there with you. His favor doesn't disappear when life becomes hard.
When you understand this, it changes the way you face trials. Instead of thinking that something must be wrong, you remember that God's presence goes with you everywhere. The favor of God isn't something you move in and out of. It is something you carry because you are in Christ. Even in the middle of the fire, God is still with you.
Application
When a challenge appears today, pause and remind yourself: "I am not alone in this. God's presence is with me."
Prayer
Father, help me remember that Your favor does not leave me in difficult seasons. Strengthen my heart to trust Your presence even in the fire.
