Seeing the Full Picture

Reflection

Are you only seeing what's in front of you?

Today's Scripture

2 Kings 6:17
"Lord, open his eyes so that he may see."

Devotional

Sometimes what you are seeing is accurate, but it is incomplete. You may see the problem clearly. You may see the pressure, the diagnosis, or the limitation. But if that is all you see, your perspective is missing something important.

That is what happened with Elisha’s servant. He saw the army surrounding them and assumed defeat. He was not wrong about what he saw. He just did not see everything. When God opened his eyes, he saw that there was a greater force surrounding them.

In the same way, you have to ask God to help you see beyond what is visible. There is always more happening than what you can naturally perceive. When you begin to see from God’s perspective, fear begins to lose its power.

Faith does not ignore reality. It expands your view of it. It allows you to see both the challenge and the solution at the same time. And when that happens, your response changes.

Application

Ask God today to help you see beyond your current situation.

Prayer

Father, open my eyes to see what You're doing, not just what's in front of me.
