Reflection

What if your response became your strategy?

Today’s Scripture

2 Chronicles 20:17
"The battle is not yours, but God's."

Devotional

When everything feels like it’s coming at you, your instinct is usually to try to fix it or figure it out. But Scripture shows a different approach. When Jehoshaphat was surrounded, he didn’t panic. He prayed, and then he praised.

That response wasn’t passive. It was intentional. He understood that the battle wasn’t his to win. So instead of leading with fear, he led with worship.

That takes faith. It means you trust that God is already working, even when you don’t see results yet. Worship becomes more than something you do in a moment. It becomes a strategy that keeps your heart steady.

When you choose worship in the middle of pressure, you’re declaring that God is still in control. You’re reminding yourself that He’s bigger than what you’re facing.

That kind of response changes how you walk through difficult situations. You’re not overwhelmed. You’re anchored. And that allows you to stay grounded while you wait for God to move.

Application

Turn one stressful moment today into a moment of worship.

Prayer

Father, help me trust You enough to respond with worship instead of fear.
